Running a company is very different than managing a sales team, so you need someone skilled in the specific strengths of coaching and motivating your sales team. Companies have choices and often it makes sense to hunt, interview, hire and pay for a full-time sales manager, but this is a position very difficult to fill.
One year on from the launch of Trilogy Hotels, the independent management company is rounding out 2024 with 13 hotels under management totalling over 2,500 rooms and overseeing $165 million in revenue. Add to that, a growing team of experienced hotel industry leaders. Tell us about how you all came together on this.
What challenges have you had trying to hire better sales people? Often, if not always, one of the answers has to do with hiring better sales people. One of our business partners is Objective Management Group. That, in itself, can be problematic in hiring better sales people. How do you go about finding sales talent?
